Bed & Breakfast in a private annexe

PRIORY COTTAGE is a lovely thatched,  black and white timbered cottage in the heart of the village of Easton Royal, in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire.

The B&B accommodation is in the newly renovated annexe, giving guests total privacy.  Children are very welcome.

Set in the heart of the North Wessex Downs, enjoy the lovely views of the surrounding hills or take one of the many walks through this beautiful farming countryside.

Priory Cottage is well located for visiting Stonehenge and the market towns of Marlborough, Hungerford and Salisbury.   The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Bath (approximately one hour away) have theatres as well as a wide variety of shops and restaurants.  The large village of Pewsey is 3 miles away and has a good train service into London.

There are two bedrooms - one twin and one single.  An additional fold up bed is available if needed.

The well-equipped shower room is located between the bedrooms.

You have direct access to the garden from the annexe.

The annexe is accessed via its own gate on to the village lane.

You have full access to the beautiful courtyard garden at all times.  There is also a small lawned area.

The garden can be used for outdoor breakfast, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of village life.

Easton Royal is a beautiful linear village, lying in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire.

This is a very rural area, with plenty of walking and cycling.  The Kennet & Avon Canal runs east to west through The Vale just north of Easton Royal and provides an excellent source of great walks.

Close by, there is Crofton Beam Engines, with the oldest working Boulton & Watt beam engine in the world.  This pumping house was built to pump water into the canal from Wilton Water, which is home to much wildlife.  Just down the road from Crofton is Wilton Windmill, the oldest working windmill in the south-west, in a commanding spot with fantastic views across the vale.

The area is scattered with pretty, quintessentially English villages with many of them having a village pub.  Most serve food and local beers and ciders.

With two white horses (Pewsey and Alton Barnes), the area is also renowned for crop circles so make sure you visit the Crop Circle Exhibition & Information Centre at Honeystreet.

There is plenty of walking and cycling from the door of Priory Cottage.
